hair - a recording of dna - dies once it grows past the scalp. although no longer biologically alive, it continues to accumulate essence through the experiences of the body of which it is apart, it's contact with other beings and the constant energy field around it. by ingesting my undead hair, my body has one last chance to hear the memories of this dying season - a season of crisis, of abandonment, of grief, of heartbreak::: defecation is the perfect final non-metaphor.
